In our school, children are listened to, respected and accompanied in their learning process.
A learning environment where children can feel safe is essential for them to thrive and embark on multiple learning processes in various fields.
We foster non-violent communication, active listening, conflict management skills and positive, non-manipulative discipline.
In Gándara children are more than simple spectators. They are real actors and take centre stage in their learning process.
Nature offers a myriad of possibilities for personal growth, helping kids to become autonomous and self-confident individuals.
We are a trilingual community with Spanish, Galician and English as working languages, and with families and staff from different countries and cultures. We celebrate diversity and the cultural wealth contributed by every member of the community.
Our low teacher-student ratio allows us to spend time with each child and cater to their individual needs.
Children at elementary school set their personal challenges based on their interests, and record their progress daily.
Group activities include team work or research that might be brought forward by either students or teachers according to their interests, needs and the school syllabus.
Tutors and students meet regularly for a tutoring session, where tutors get to know the students and can individualize guidance and better accompany the students' learning process.
Elementary students and teachers have a weekly meeting to address doubts and conflicts, share ideas and interests and agree on issues related to school life and organization.
Children organize their work and free time according to their needs.
Playing is a fundamental learning tool for expansion, social interaction and enjoyment.
