Gándara started off in 2013, when two enthusiastic mothers shared the dream of creating a different kind of school for their children. A few months later, the founding team had grown to four people, benefitting from the financial support of the family business of one of its members, which gave its support to the school project. Currently, Gándara is the result of a collaboration between NOGUERA Y VALDÉS, SL, owner of the school, and ADARE-GÁNDARA, SL., the company managed by the school founders that supervises the technical and pedagogical aspects of the school.
In August 2018, Gándara obtained authorization by the Xunta de Galicia as a Foreign Private School (CPREX) in Spain, hence the new name “Gándara International School”.
