To me Gándara means respect and growth, for children, companions and families. It is a place where you can freely explore the world from magic and wonder.
María grew up between Portugal and Galicia. After finishing her university studies at the University of Vigo as a graduate in early childhood education, she went to live in California where she had the opportunity to investigate and observe different schools both in the US and in Mexico. In 2016, she completed her master’s degree in early childhood education from San Francisco State University (California), with distinguished recognition by the university for her educational research work. María is also closely linked to pedagogical work in nature and the Reggio Emilia model, in which she continues to constantly train through courses and visits.
She speaks Galician, Portuguese, Spanish and English. She has been traveling for years, which is also part of her great personal projects.
