Terms and conditions: camps and birthday parties

1. Who provides the service

These terms apply to registrations for Gándara International School camps (summer, Easter and Christmas) and to birthday party bookings, whether made on the website, by email, on WhatsApp or at the school.

2. How the contract is made

Sending the registration or booking form is a request. The place or the date is confirmed when we confirm it by email and, where applicable, we receive the payment or the deposit within the stated deadline. Places are limited and allocated in order of confirmation.

By sending the form you confirm that you are the child's mother, father or guardian, or are acting with their authorisation, and that the information is true.

We keep the request and the confirmation as a record of the contract. You can save or print these terms from this page.

3. Prices and payment

• Prices are those published on the page of each camp or of the birthday parties at the time of the request, and they are the total amount the family pays (including any applicable taxes).
• Discounts (Gándara families, siblings, vouchers) apply as stated on each page.
• The payment method and deadline are given in the confirmation email. If payment is not received by then, the place or the date may be released.
• For birthday parties, a 50 € deposit is required when booking, which is deducted from the final price of the party.

4. Cancellations by the family

Camps, for each week or period booked, counting from its first day:

• More than two weeks in advance: 100 % of the amount paid is refunded.
• Between two weeks and 72 hours before: 50 % is refunded.
• Less than 72 hours in advance, or if the child does not attend: no refund.

Unused days within a booked week are neither made up nor refunded.

Birthday parties: if you cancel at least one week in advance, we refund the deposit; with less notice, the deposit is not refunded. If you would rather change the date, we will try to move it depending on availability.

Cancellations must be sent in writing to info@gandaraschool.com.

5. Right of withdrawal

Camps and birthday parties are leisure services with a specific date or period of performance, so the right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply (Art. 103(l) of the consolidated text of the Spanish General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users, Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007). Cancellations are governed by the previous section.

6. Cancellation or changes by the school

If a camp, a week or an activity does not reach the minimum number of participants needed to run it properly, or cannot take place for reasons beyond the school's control, we will let you know as soon as possible and refund in full the amount paid for the part not provided.

Timetables and activities may be adjusted because of the weather or how groups are organised, while keeping the service booked.

7. Health, allergies and medication

• When registering for a camp you can tell us about allergies, intolerances or special needs; we only use this to look after the child, with your explicit consent. For birthday parties we ask you to tell us only which allergies there are and how many children have them, without names.
• A child with a fever or a contagious illness should not attend. If a child feels unwell during the activity, we will ask the family to collect them.
• We only give medication with a medical prescription and the family's written authorisation.
• In the event of an accident or emergency, we will look after the child, call the emergency services if needed (112) and inform the family immediately.

8. Drop-off and pick-up

Please be on time for the drop-off and pick-up times of each service. If you are going to be late for pick-up, let the school know.

We only hand children over to their mother, father or guardian, or to the people they have authorised in writing; we may ask them to show identification.

9. Behaviour and outings

Our activities are based on respect and support. If a participant's behaviour puts their own safety or the group's at risk, we will talk to the family to find a solution; in serious or repeated cases we may end their participation, refunding the proportional part of the days not attended.

For outings away from the school that are part of the camp programme, we will ask for the family's authorisation beforehand.

10. Images

We only publish photos or videos of participants with their family's express authorisation, which is requested separately and can be withdrawn at any time.

11. Birthday parties

• The chosen plan sets the maximum number of children, the duration and what is included; extras are booked separately as shown on the birthday page.
• In the “Your Own Way” plan there is no educational support from the school: the family making the booking supervises the children throughout the party.
• Any food and drink brought by the family is its responsibility, including with regard to allergies.
• The family making the booking is liable for any damage the guests cause to the facilities or materials, except normal wear and tear.
• The booked time must be respected so that the space can be prepared for the next activity.

12. Insurance

Camps include civil liability and accident insurance for participants. The school also has civil liability insurance for its facilities and activities.

13. Data protection

We process registration and booking data as explained in the privacy policy.

14. Questions, complaints and applicable law

For any question or complaint, write to info@gandaraschool.com or use our complaints and suggestions channel. Official complaint forms are available to consumers at the school.

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may go to the courts of your place of residence.
